Southern Sun Elangeni & Maharani, Durban

Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were not quite as upgraded as in the picture, but they offered a great view. The breakfast setup was a bit disorganized. On the bright side, the service was exceptional, with the manager and receptionist going out of their way to make my stay special. The location was perfect, right in front of the beach, making it ideal for all the activities I wanted to do.

I had an incredible stay at the hotel! The room had an amazing sea view and a good shower, and it was always kept clean. The only downside was the air conditioning being the last to get cool and the absence of a bath or coffee facilities.

The hotel offers rooms with excellent views, exactly as shown in the pictures, but the showers are only in rooms with queen beds. The service made my stay extra special with their friendly attitude, but at times lacked manners, giving the impression of doing us a favor. The location is great, right across the beach in a perfect area. The dining experience provided a wide selection of different food options. Overall, a pleasant stay with minor room for improvement in service etiquette.

The location was a highlight, situated on the north beach overlooking the Indian ocean. The dining experience was positive with a variety of food options, despite some drawbacks like cold meats. The facilities were up to standard, offering all necessary amenities.

The hotel offers an amazing view from the rooms, but they only have 1 bed which isn't an upgrade. The breakfast was unorganized, and the air conditioning was always cleaned last.
